Any one of us can struggle with our mental health and well-being at any point in our lives, that’s why it’s crucial to us that the right support is available to local people who need our help.At Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, It is important that people who use our services and those with lived experience of poor mental health are involved in every aspect of our work. By listening to your views and your feedback, we can shape services and make informed decisions that will benefit our wider community – giving people greater access to support when they need it most. We’re looking for local people to help us, either by sharing views through a survey, or by joining us at some focus groups. Opportunities that are available include:

  • Sharing feedback on the support we offer
  • Getting involved with our recruitment processes
  • Helping us to design services with our community at heart
  • Contributing to our marketing and communications activity
  • Making your voice heard at our Board meetings

Jenny Peterson, Service Manager for Peer Support, Influence and Engagement said:

“We want the voices of people who use our services to be heard, to influence and to shape the services used by them.  We believe services should be developed and created by the people best placed to know what works and tell us when it doesn’t.  We value the experiences and perspective of our community and the contribution you can make.”

If you are interested in getting involved, please let us know by filling in this short form here. We’ll ask you for your views about our services, and really listen to what you have to say. By sharing your honest feedback, we can improve the work that we do and ensure that the support available is the right support.
