We are delighted to announce IPL as one of our official charity partners.

As an official partner, IPL will be supporting our work and helping us to move closer to a world where nobody has to face a mental health problem alone.

Speaking about the new partnership, James Walker, HSE Manager at IPL Hull said:

“12 months ago a colleague tried to take his own life. Luckily this attempt was unsuccessful, but this highlighted the need for our site to improve our welfare facilities and wellbeing provision. To this end I reached out to Hull East and East Yorkshire Mind to look at how we can work in partnership to ensure IPL Hull has the best possible mental health and wellbeing provision, awareness and support for all our colleagues.

Through the training, guidance and support Hull and East Yorkshire Mind has given us, we now have the facilities in place to help identify, support and aid our team members who are struggling with mental health and wellbeing issues. This includes the formation of a fully trained and qualified on-site mental health and wellbeing team.

In the short time this team has been running we have supported just over 10% of our workforce with some form of mental health and wellbeing issue. IPL Hull is extremely proud to support Hull and East Yorkshire Mind and shares it’s dedication and vision of not giving up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect,”

Dan Warren, Director of Development at Hull and East Yorkshire Mind said:

“It’s great to be working with IPL Hull on this new and exciting partnership, and we are really looking forward to continuing working with them in the future. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem in any given year. By working together, we can promote positive mental health, raise awareness and vital funds and ensure that no one in our local area has to face a mental health problem alone.”

Thank you for your support!
