Good feedback from a person accessing our Vocational Programme

We have recently received some amazing feedback from a person accessing our Action Towards Inclusion support. The project aims to offer long-term holistic support to people who are unemployed and experiencing difficulties relating to mental health, social exclusion and financial issues. Support is available to improve employability skills and volunteering/work experience, this will enable participants to move closer towards job-search, training, education and employment.

Her feedback was:

Was there anything about the project that you particularly enjoyed?

It’s quite a sociable thing – when you’re very low/anxious, it gets you out of the house and talking to people. The counselling sessions were invaluable.

In what ways has your life changed during your time on the project?

I’ve grown in confidence, found a new direction/goal (to work in mental health and help others), gained employment, become more socially confident. My overall mental health has really improved and I’ve been able to reduce my medication.

How has your physical and mental well-being changed since accessing this support? (counselling)

I’ve made positive changes, started a new direction career-wise, and feel more ‘myself’ – more confident. This has been the best experience I’ve had with counselling!
