New taster fitness sessions to improve mental health and wellbeing

By April 15, 2019No Comments

We are working alongside Active Humber to help local people to try new sports and activities, to help improve their physical and mental health. Through this work, We will be supporting people experiencing mental health problems – such as depression and anxiety – to build their confidence to join sports clubs, go to the gym or take up a new sport such as tennis, running or fitness activities to name a few.

As part of the project, Hull KR will be holding a taster session of mixed activity and cardio on Thursday 18th April, 10am at Craven Park. If participants enjoy the day, they will be invited to start a 12 week programme of activity at Craven Park the following week.

Hull Culture and Leisure will be also be holding a Yoga taster session on Friday 10th May at 12.30pm at Woodford Leisure Centre. Again, participants will be invited to start the 12 week programme of Yoga the following week.

If you are interested in attending these sessions, call 01482 240200, email [email protected] or DM us on social media @MindHEY
