Hull and East Yorkshire took up the mental health challenge in October!
Hull and East Yorkshire Mind is thanking everyone who took up their #heychallenge during October this year.
The challenge was to complete something from each of the 5 ways to wellbeing during the month of October, to help your mental health.
100s of people took part, from individuals, to schools, businesses and sports groups. The involvement of so many people really helped to spread positive messages about mental health as people took to social media to show what they were doing.
David Smith, Chief Executive of Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, said “I want to thank everyone who took part in our challenge this month. Everyone has mental health- sometimes we are well and sometimes not so well. It’s important we all take the time to look after our own mental health.
“Too often mental health is a subject that is avoided or discussed in pejorative terms. But people across Hull and East Yorkshire have shown this month that it’s good to talk about mental health, and that there are things we can all do to help our own mental health. It can even be good fun!”
