Suicide Prevention Training

Mental health training that you can trust - delivered by experts.

Hull and East Yorkshire Mind is proud to be working with the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership to offer free suicide prevention training to local community businesses.

The short training course aims to develop delegates’ understanding of mental health, mental distress and suicide. The workshop will explore why people experience mental distress, the conditions that can cause this to lead to suicidal ideation and someone taking their own life.  The course will develop participants’ confidence in their own skills, so they can sensitively and appropriately support someone who is suicidal.

Following completion of the training, individuals will get:

  • A certificate
  • A badge
  • Suicide prevention resources and signposting information
  • A window sticker for you to display at your business premises
