Blue Light Programme

Our independent research shows that members of the emergency services are even more at risk of experiencing a mental health problem than the general population, but are less likely to seek support.

We know that one in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem in any given year. But research shows an estimated quarter of a million people who work and volunteer in the emergency services are even more at risk of experiencing a mental health problem.

We are delivering the Blue Light Programme to provide mental health support for emergency services staff and volunteers from ambulance, fire, police and search and rescue services across the Humberside region.  Access our training, information and mental health support by emailing [email protected] or by calling 01482 240200.

Through Mind’s Blue Light Programme, Hull and East Yorkshire Mind are offering free mental health support for staff or volunteers from Humberside ambulance, fire, police or search and rescue services.

We are currently offering 1-2-1 support as well as group workshops that are run from our offices at Wellington House in Hull. Our workshops are based around mental health, stress and resilience and can be booked for up to 12 people (Min 8) and held at your local 999 premises.
