Tea and Talk

Tea & Talk is a fun way to encourage open conversations about mental health and raise much needed funds at the same time.

Have a cuppa, enjoy a natter and raise money for better mental health!

Taking time out from our busy lives to have a bit of a natter is always a good idea. It’s even better when there’s tea and cake involved!

Tea and Talk is a great opportunity to have a sit down with friends, family, colleagues, or someone you’ve just met, to enjoy a cuppa and some cake.

Have a chat about anything and everything; talk about your day, find out how someone is doing, listen, and show that you care throughout Mental Health Awareness Week 9th-15th May 2022!

Now more than ever, we all need to come together to raise awareness, so that we can help to create a world where nobody has to face a mental health problem alone. Every year, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem. We believe no-one should have to face this alone. With your help, we can change lives, locally. By taking part in Tea and Talk, you can help raise awareness of Hull and East Yorkshire Mind and our services.

Have a natter, raise money and change lives…

Step 1
Organise a coffee morning or bake sale and raise awareness of mental health – how about selling cakes in your kitchen at work, your local community venue or at school.

Step 2
Make sure everyone knows about your Tea and Talk event – tell them there will be cake and use posters and social media to promote. Don’t forget to tell people it will be to raise money so they bring their pennies.

Step 3
When you have had your tea and talk event, don’t forget to send us your money!  Please do send us lots of photos and tag us on social media using @MindHEY
