It’s Mental Health Awareness Week and this week we’ve launched our brand new #BeKind campaign for better mental health.
When we think about the word kindness, most of us will automatically think about being kind to others – but sometimes we forget that we should also be kind to ourselves.
At times like this, we need to remember to not be so hard on ourselves. The current situation around the world is having an effect on everyone, but we want to remind you to be kind to yourself.
Being kind to yourself may mean having a pamper session or cooking your favourite meal. Think about what really makes you smile and set some time out every day to do it. Here’s some ideas on how to be kind to yourself:
- Give yourself a break from social media or television
- Learn a new skill
- Give yourself a goal
For more ideas we have developed some free downloadable resources which are available here, www.heymind.org.uk/MHAW
We would love to know what you get up to, why not share your kindness on social media using #BeKind @MindHEY
